What is your keyboard layout. US? Or something else? I don't currently support
other
layouts because I don't use them. I'm looking for help on issues like this.

I wish I knew--I'm (frankly) very ignorant of the differences between keyboard
layouts, but it's still very important for me to know whether you're using a US
layout (and if not, which.)

I don't yet understand why AHK seems to be remapping keys that should be left
alone, seemingly causing strange problems. That's why I've been working to
create a new, independent implementation of UAWKS that doesn't rely on AHK. I'm
having mixed results.

(And as a reminder, I do this in my spare time, and for free! But I still try
to take everyone's problems seriously.)

Hi Brian. I use Swedish layout and cannot by any way write the backslash, so
right now I am stuck having the charmap.exe running at all times and copying it
when i need it. Not to handy :(

Yes I have the same problem using UK keyboard
Unfortunately there seems to be no way to produce the backslash
what a shame
Also annoying is that the @ and the " are swapped
