Hi Haroon, thanks for your input. What keys aren't workin well? I'm most
concerned that the alt/option,
control, and command keys work the same, as well as the Fn key. I'm not to
worrid about the volume up
and down but it would be nice to gettjose to work too. Thanks.

I've had UAWKS and Windows 7 running for about 4 months now and it works
flawlessly.
Have run into no major issues. (My Bluetooth dongle is connected via a USB bus,
not
MOBO integrated, so it doesn't work for BIOS, etc, but as soon as 7 is started
up, it
works just fine.)

Media keys, etc work well also. No issues with battery life.

I have advanced options enabled, and am using up-to-date Windows Vista. (also
using
the Magic Mouse!)

viper1619: That's why it's so hard to address the various issues people are
having, I
can't replicate any of them :P

I think many problems have to do with keyboard layouts and external software,
but I
still understand why people get frustrated sometimes.

I'm just starting to work with UAWKS under Windows 7, I hope to get it working
better
soon.

That would be great. I appreciate the old version, but getting the the volume
controls
to have affect (right now they just move a bar across the screen). Mute works,
but not
the actual increase, decrease volume. I'm using the new bluetooth apple
keyboard.
Thanks again.

Note there are two versions of the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard as of July 2010:

Old one with 3AA batteries: Model# A1255
New, smaller, 2AA batteries: Model# A1314

There is also the wired Apple USB keyboard WITHOUT numpad,
which has (almost) the same layout as the Wireless Keyboard:

Small wired USB Keyboard: Model# A1242

Note I submitted a source code mod/fix to Brian's UAWKS that makes
it work great with the wired USB keyboard. This is because the "Fn"
key of the wired Keyboard was not detected by the Bluetooth HID Driver
DLL used by UAWKS. I think all I did was swap Fn for the Right command
key ... it works. See below for my source code (it's commented where I
made changed, but you could also do a diff to find exactly what's changed
from Brian's last 2008 version)
