External Player #97

Would it be possible to provide the usage of an external player like it is 
usual in mediaportal? I use MPC as external player for mediaportal and want 
also to use this player for onlinevideos because it provides a better usability 
for me.

You can already use VLC and WindowsMediaPlayer. Check the contextmenu on a 
Video.

Yes but this isn't the way of an external player. VLC and Windows Media Player 
are integrated in mediaportal (active x???) and this implementation doesn't 
provide the full advantages of an external player. Simply providing a feature 
to use the external player (configured in mediaportal, as it is, no 
integration) would be very helpful.

The whole idea of this plugin is to have the integrated look and feel, and not 
to be a starter for other applications. There is also no real reason to use 
external players, especially MPC-HC, because if you have setup the required 
codecs, the playback inside MediaPortal is always the best choice.
I don't really see the benefit.
