We (Dawid Ras, Nic v d Heiden and I) had a very fruitful discussion yesterday regarding the “single pane of glass” concept from a monitoring perspective. We agreed that we need to align with other initiatives and as such two became very evident namely “Reubin’s top 10 business transaction drive (Isolde) and the taxonomy service drive (Italo).
Can I therefore recommend that we drive this initiative (service mapping and taxonomy) from that angle. Andre – can we map the first business transaction as identified by Billy / Isolde on Reubin’s behalf as first candidate?
We will then align the monitoring for all the layers accordingly and have associated dashboards developed.
[x] 1. Dashboard 1 – mission critical business, end user response process, health, volumes, trends.
[x] 2. Dashboard 2 – Technical health of technical systems – full OSI stack
[x] 3. Dashboard 3 – Trending stats over time – both technical and business
