SD card Work in Progress #9

Hello, I just opening this Issue to inform you of the existence of this recent kext RealtekCardReader

OxFirewolf made a kext supporting 0x0BDA0129 | RTS5129 USB 2.0/3.0 Card Reader (and many more models). (same model present on msi modern 15)

I trying many things to make it work, (with USBmap.kext) but doesn't work.

stil W.I.P for the moment.

Works better since latest commits.I'm able to eject the sdcard 'properly' . RealtekCardReader-0.9.6-2021-08-26 11.22.15.zip compiled with Liluandfriends Thx 0xFireWolf & corpNewt !!!

You could try with USBToolbox

Port mapping on window side explanation should be the same on macOS under Download USBToolBox & Launch section.

how did you get the SD Card info in About this Mac? RealtekCardReaderFriend show nothing in System information.

Thank you @hla63 👍 . I have tried with your USBMap. I can correctly see the device in system information and disk utility. But I can't see the data in the sd card in Finder (maybe my sd card isn't compatible).

To get the SD card reader info I am using RealtekCardReaderFriend too. https://github.com/0xFireWolf/RealtekCardReaderFriend/

I don't know why I can't see the device in system information.Disk utility show the sdcard and sdcard works normally.Just RealtekCardReaderFriend doesn't work for me :(

did you try the -iosd3v3 or other boot arg

I found a compatible SD card 👌 . I have three, two seems to be not compatible 😞

Updated to Monterrey. All related to USB ports working great 💪 Thank you @hla63
