Music sometimes stutters during play #199

I've been noticing this for a while since probably v4.x.x. In scenarios or skirmish maps, music from the Battle of Wesnoth plays fine, but the new music (which I gather is now Wyrmsun's default) stutters and has audible noise/clicks, so I have to turn it off. The new music appears to play fine in the main menu and on the map loading screens.

I can't seem to reproduce this, unfortunately =/

I played a bit more and it seems that my initial conclusion was wrong: stuttering happens when Wesnoth music is playing as well (at least, in v5.3.4). I edited the issue title to reflect this.

When I play a skirmish map for a couple of minutes (maybe more), the music starts to stutter at some point, possibly having to do with many work/combat sounds being played simultaneously? But if I go to the options, turn music off and on again, it resets and plays normally. I have found no more reliable way to replicate the problem than playing a skirmish map for a while.

Thanks for the update :) It taking some time for the music to stutter is an interesting piece of information. Maybe the stutter begins happening randomly. Either way, I'll try leaving music on for longer to see if I can reproduce this (usually when testing I play without music, so for my previous music test I only left music on for time enough to test it).
