Possibly useful public domain sound effects from OGA #205

I noticed that Wyrmsun still uses the old building explosion sounds from Aleona's Tales. Today I was browsing OpenGameArt.org and stumbled upon this nice collection of wood destruction sounds. The "impact" sounds there can actually work as really nice stand-ins for the building explosion effects, and are of high quality.

The collection originally comes from a Norwegian site with resources for filmmaking (now accessible only via the Wayback Machine), the description states they are free to be used, hence the uploader marked them as CC0/Public Domain.

Those are pretty nice, thank you for posting about them :) There are also some milder/shorter wood destruction sounds in there that could possibly be used for wood piles (when they are used up).

Now I wouldn't like to create a new issue for this, but recently I frankensprited a character from existing Wyrmsun assets, to match the Long Swordsman icon, and would like to share it with you: arthor It's based on the Elven Swordsman with the cloak from the Varangian Era Warrior, and the beardless black-haired human template to match the portrait on the icon. I think it came out fairly well.
