This one is up in the air for me... we'll see. How does this work for multiple teams? The system I have now might work just fine...

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

Definitely related to #41

What if we see a 2015 style API delay?

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

Really overall, it will be more smooth if we lock on wednesday at midnight

Hrm

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

Well manual control of the week advancement system has been given to the admins

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

It could just be a manual thing... When an admin notices that matches have started, they'll hit the button

What if we attach to FIM's youtube channel?

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

Lightbulb!

Andrew-Dickinson commented 9 years ago

We take a bunch of data sources (e.g. TBA and FIM youtube channel) to indicate that matches are starting, and we email/text the admins with all of this data if it suggests things are happening. The email would include a link to lock teams for all leagues. The admin could review this, and choose whether or not to lock things up

And if it takes 20 minutes, that's fine too. Because the first couple matches aren't worth much anyway.
