If you have set the water tank to a high capacity, fill it, then reduce the capacity, the quantity of water does not change.
I set my tank capacity to 1000, filled it, then reduced it to 200, and this was the result:
It's at 646 because I sat in some lava to work off some water and update it to below 200, but it only ticked down from 1000 like usual.
I've found out that a check for this condition has been added in a later version (16195e23649904b7a27dd6ffaf434c1ab4646a27). I should have double checked this. My apologies.
