The flowers as shown in the lore booklet.
(A) is a type of rose family and is simply called "rose". It blooms large beautiful flowers who are red and white in early summer and autumn. The red fruit that grows in late autumn stores mucus to protect the seeds, and this mucus is the raw material for "usnori" used for bonding gems. Flowers are used for decoration because of their wonderful aroma.
(B) is a species close to the Clam family, and is a raw material for cloth and paper. It is the most utilized plant. It grows to a height of about 1 m and the flowers are pale blue to white. Black seeds are rich in oil and are used for finishing woodwork.
(C) is a kind of Araliaceae called "Ade". It grows along the sea on the south coast, When the thick and hard stem is broken, a black emulsion overflows. This emulsion turns into a black dye.
(D) is "Fukoyame". A pretty bulbous plant that emerges from the snow in the beginning of spring. The dried pistil becomes a yellow dye. The person in charge of winter season will end this season by collecting these flowers.
(E) is a plant belonging to the family Olympiaceae, which is called "Oceiroivana". The seeds to be applied in late summer are spherical with a diameter of about 5 mm, and the gemstone uses the white powdery endosperm as a cosmetic. All five plants are wild and have not been cultivated. Although there are some years when the required amount cannot be obtained, it does not pose a serious problem because the amount is always stored and the harvest amount will be recovered after waiting a few years.
(F) is the only horticultural species on this island. It is a perennial plant of the genus Astragalus, Raised on the school terrace or in a private room. It is strong and negatively tolerant, and blooms in all four seasons except in the extremely cold season. Flowers come in a variety of colors, and Gems grow flowers of their choice in their own rooms. The name is unknown and the word "hana" is used within the school.
