Wordsearch: Direction distributions #101

For wordsearches, certain directions seem to occur more commonly than others. For example, bottom left to top right diagonal (easiest to see on normal or hard levels) seems to occur far less often than top left to bottom right diagonal.

This could be to do with the method of selecting the direction, the way the grid is actually filled up, an inevitable consequence of the English language that I don't understand or it could not actually be happening at all and is just due to a poor understanding of randomness/statistical significance.

First of all, is this the case?
It would be good to do testing of these features. (Just search for the ****TECHNICAL NOTE**** section to see how to enable all answers in one click (by clicking hint))

After having done more extensive testing it seems that this is not actually happening and that the first few times I tested this were just statistical flukes. Perhaps you could double check this though to make sure it is not happening on your laptop.
