I bought a device to connect android auto wirelessly to my phone. While everything works great, audio and video becomes out of sync. Is there a setting that can be changed to address that?

AndreyPavlenko commented 2 years ago

There is a setting, but it doesn't work for youtube.

Would you mind mentioning what it is? I use an IPTV application as well and the same issue occurs.

Menu > Settings > Video settings > Audio > Audio delay. You may also configure different delays per video. While watching a video, tap on the screen, click on the three dots and find the same configuration in the menu.

Hi Andrey, Do you know the reason audio is lagging behind the video in youtube in AA wireless? Is there anything user can do to improve it? Thank you!

I doubt you can do something. Try a different device.

I did some more testing and it looks like the audio is starting to lag when more than 1 audio stream is going through Bluetooth connection. For example if I have Fermata playing a video and Waze is running in the background providing turn-by-turn driving instructions. As soon as I set Waze sound option to "Alerts only", the audio/video sync in Fermata improved dramatically. It did not become perfect, but there was definitely a huge improvement. I also noticed the same behavior in Carstream. Not sure is this is going to help resolve the issue, but just wanted to share.
