android 14 Issue #477

Dear andrey and the rest, is anyone trying/working to overcome the android 14 fermata incompatibility? thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue when download the newest version it only shows up in aa as fermata media control and nothing else and it isn't working

1.9.9 wird nicht mal unter Android auto angezeigt. Nicht mal Medien Center. Nach paar installationen ist es mal da, mal nicht.

It's not a compatibility issue. AA does not allow using sideloaded apps on the car headunit. Before A14 there was a workaround, that does not work anymore.

I see, so are you trying to find a solution for this or its impossible?

Not only me. One of the solutions is to use an intermediate device, like AAWireless.

What about rooted phones running A14? Will Fermata Auto work?

Why is it so difficult to by pass A14 Andrey?

Because AA does not allow to use sideloaded apps in car. Before A14 there was a workaround, since A14 it does not work anymore.

After enabling developer mode in AA, enabling unknown sources and selecting Developer in Application Modes, I can start fermata on my head unit in the car, however when trying to play m3u playlist there is no video, only audio :(

Because you need to start Fermata Auto on the head unit.

Thanks, but I am not really sure what you mean. I ma starting app on android auto in my car. Btw the only options available in the app when I start in on AA - Folders and Favorites, no IPTV or Youtube or browser

You start either Fermata or Fermata Media Service app, but you need Fermata Auto. If you don't have one, then you need to install it properly.
