Android 12: IMEI in "about-phone" (unchanged, old IMEI) is different from output of "*#06#" (empty, no IMEI) ! #10

Is that intended or a bug?

Which IMEI will be transmitted along with the phone number to the cell towers? The empty one (none) or the one seen in "about-phone"?

Same issue here. I specifically need to know which IMEI is sent to the cell towers.

In LSposed, selecting all the system applications related to the NETWORK, I managed to use the fake IMEI in 4G VoLTE networks but the real one was sent in 3G networks
