[BUG] no option to allow module in firewall #22

Closed nutpantz closed 2 years ago

nutpantz commented 2 years ago

The module needs Internet access but there is no way to allow the module Internet access in the most popular firewalls. (Eg Afwall) The user is left to allow all root apps as the only option, which is no option at all.

There should be an offline manual download option if there is no other way to allow Internet other then to allow every app Internet

We can't workaround third party, unofficial and unsupported ways of blocking internet access. We do have an app planned for WebView Manager but that's a little ways out.

A temporary fix would be to allow internet for root UID just during install, then deny it again.
