Support Quilt ModLoader #139

Quilt is a fork of fabric that supports most Fabric mods. Some mod authors also left the Fabric community, making their mods only support Quilt. Quilt maintains a good relationship with the Forge community, enabling some Forge mods to support Quilt. Patchwork is working on getting Forge Mod to run on Quilt. Finally, MultiMC already supports Quilt.

If you install Quilt using its installer, Alicorn is able to load and launch it. (Any profile should work fine, unless it has modified a lot.)

If you are looking for automatic installation, since Quilt provides CLI (unlike that loader), we can soon support it.

(Unfortunately, Quilt seems to work slow on my computer, hope it supports mirrors soon.)

Also, a good news is that Quilt works fine. (Except that it hasn't supported all apis.)

Personally, I prefer one loader to two. But if Quilt can combine Forge and Fabric (and save us from making choices), it might be a good choice.

It's a bit trickey to handle Quilt, since actually it supports Fabric, but Alicorn won't recognize it (and also Modrinth).
