Hi, after spending a good week trying to find a way to install Pi-Star on an existing Raspberry-Pi system I gave up...
It would be very very nice if there was a docker image of Pi-Star or if anyone just could type "apt-get install pi-star" and get it to work.
You might ask yourselves why I don't just create new system and be done but I currently only have one RPi that runs PiHole (and some other custom software) and it seems that no seller in the whole world has RPis available in order for me to just buy a second one.
I tried many ways to get the binaries running on the existing system, I tried running the .img file in a VM and in a Docker environement but no luck since most (if not all) of the tools and libraries are deprecated or simply don't work on the Raspbian OS.
This should not at all be interpreted as a critique of Pi-Star since the software is just amazing and works flawlessly for many users but it would be even a bigger plus if we could install Pi-Star with some other method in times of chip-shortage and no alternatives.
