Convert pfSense Configs? #2

Open CMiksche opened 3 years ago

Hi,

that's a fork of https://github.com/TKCERT/pfFocus which has a definition how a pfSense config should look like.

Because this has a definition how a OPNsense config should look like, it should be possible to build a converter between these two formats, shouldn't it?

(That's just an idea - I can completely understand when @AndyX90 has no time or interest for this - just wanted to discuss if this could be a feature of OPNReport - I will probably try to build a converter myself otherwise)

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes this should theoretically be possible. But the difference in the config-files of PFSense and OPNSense are increasingly diverging. You have to analyze the opnsense configfiles and -sections and find the counterparts (if any) in pfsense and vice versa. The OPNReport tool is just my mirror of the PFFocus tool with some small adjustments and mostly renaming parts. This is by way not complete and i am not actively working on the extension or compatibility fixing of OPNReport and opnsense-configurations. But please feel free to contribute! :)
