Hello, I would like to share with you some of my suggestions to somewhat add something more to some features of the mod.
Not only that, but also fixes for smaller issues I have noticed. I do not believe they are glitches, just things that require to be refined.
For the sake of clarity, I shall divide that list in two parts: Suggestions, and Fixes.
Suggestions:-Make the Ghost figures during the "Fog Weather" more terrifying. Not only for the audio: More sound cue, such as screams, whispering, footsteps, but also visually. If you get close to one, there is a random chance that they jumpscare you as a wight, cause you blindness and nausea... Anything to give you the feeling that you are TRULY not alone, and these spirits are no jokes.
[These Fog moments are truly terrifying for new players, and they were for me when I booted the game! However, as time goes on, I have learned that the ghosts do nothing, except hanging around as JPEG, popping in and out harmlessly. I really wish to feel like the mysterious writer in one of the lore papers you sometimes find in pots: Oppressing feelings, anxiety, uneasy...]
-Make Baby Chiromaws more interactive. One suggestion is the feature of tickling the newborn with a Feather-like Item, causing them to giggle and wiggle, amused.
[Look, it would just make the interaction with the Baby more personal than only feeding this very hungry bean. Also, it would be adorable, admit it! ;w; AND make you raising this Baby even more personal before adulthood.]
-Make the recipe and item of "Marshmallow on a Stick", which would be any marshmallow, and a simple stick. It would grant the same saturation, food and effect as the regular marshmallow, and upon eating it, would leave the stick alone.
One feature would be the following: If close to a fire, you can focus the item like you bend the bow in the game, only if toward the fire. Upon doing that, it would eject a small ember particle, and if you stay like this during 10 seconds (the amount of time needed for one item to be cooked in a furnace), it becomes: "Cooked Marshmallow on a Stick". Which would give a better saturation and food.
[The only reason for this is Marshmallow. They are in the game, and feel out of place in the... first place. So, it just comes to a missed opportunity to not utilize that food for the fire system in the mod.]
Fixes:-Make the cycle Day/Night in the Betweenland less sudden and more progressive.
[I am assuming the rift in the sky open and close progressively, indicated by the noises. So it only makes sense if the luminosity of the world slowly downgrade/upgrade depending on the Time. Currently, in the game, the luminosity immediatly goes from one level to another, and that is awfully too noticeable. It also break the mood and immersion.]
-Make the Musician Greebling's music NOT cut the in-game music, and instead lower it down progressively until muted.
[Whenever I come across them, same thing, immersion broken down. It's like there is a STOP sign that pop in front of you, taking you by surprise, and it's not a great feeling. Which is a shame because the mod's musics are wonderful! What I would like to hear is that, when you come across them, your music fade out, as the song of the Greebling fade in. That way we have a smooth transition that not only keep the immersion and mood, but also realistic: You would notice the faint sudden change of ambient sounds, and your focus would ignore everything but that slowly.]
These are all my Suggestions/Fixes. Although the ideas would stay as suggestions, the fixes could really be beneficial for the mood of the game.
That is all. Thank you for your attention, and have a good day. :)
