Yeah I'll add a cooldown and remove mob drops.
Just the cooldown would be fine. The drops are actually helpful to early game players, plus with the cooldown there would be fewer drops.
The drops probably have a larger impact on performance than the mobs fighting. Whether the mobs fight or not doesn't really matter much, their AIs are running regardless (i.e. wander instead of attack). In deep waters the drops can build up quite a bit
Is there a possibility that the Lurker-Angler war cold be toned down a bit? I understand that the AI is doing the hunting, but when there are lots of both, there are just tons of AI hits processing and it hurts performance. I guess I could reduce spawns a bit, but that's not really an optimal solution.
I rather see the AI of lurkers tweaked a bit so they aren't so murderous all the time. Maybe an AI 50% choice on some sort of delay?
