I've just received takeover permission from the owner of two listed Google Gadgets #362

The current owner of two listed Google Gadgets has given me permission
to maintain them from now on, after I informed him that I've just
added Linux support.

Based on advice from the FAQ, I emailed the GD developers to request
that they change the download URLs a few days ago. How long does this
process usually take?

Which gadgets? And why do you want change the download URLs? Where did you send
the
request?

The two gadgets that I'm wanting to maintain are currently named "Net Meter"
and "Net
Meter Dial". Their previous owner hasn't developed them in over two years and I
don't have write permission to the current download URL locations.

I sent the full email to "gd-developer at google dot com" and I also posted my
above
message to the Google Desktop Developer Group discussion forum. If you're able
to
make these changes, would you like me to email you the new URLs?

Sorry that, I don't think I can change it. I think the simplest way for you is
to
create two new gadgets and upload them with different URLs.

To avoid having duplicate instances of these gadgets and subsequently confusing
their
users, I want to reuse the current UUIDs. The problem is that your submission
engine
is demanding that I create new ones.
