Hi there, not sure if anybody added any info to this issue,
I have been using the gadgets for about a week now, and noticed this issue.

Just set your gadgets in any order,
If you just stop and restart google-gadgets you should be fine,
but if you logout and log back in, the gadgets seem to reset their order.

I use v. 0.11.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 64b Desktop.

I too have the same issue, I have my gadgets floating on the desktop with the
sidebar turned off, whenever I restart my computer the sidebar is re-enabled
and the positions of the gadgets are reorganised, the gadgets are reorganised
whether I have the sidebar enabled or not.

I have google gadgets v 0.11.2 (API version 5.8.0.0) running on Ubuntu 10.04
desktop (32 bit)
