Feature Information

Paging v3 is still in alpha stage see migration guide as such we'll use this issue as a roadmap as migration continues beside current beta.

Solution Information

Modules that will most likely need to be reworded:

• support-data: Provides a few abstractions that help with the creating of PagedList exposed as a LiveData observable through DataState. With paging v3 we should be able to expose PagingData (The equivalent of PagedList in v2) as a flow since LiveData is often associated with the UI/Presentation layer.
• support-recycler: Provides contracts, concrete and abstractions around the recyclerview to interact with PagedList including showing network state, but since PagingData handles most of this in it's [RecyclerAdapter]() implementation, the current adapter implementation will require a complete rewrite to cater for the new changes

I'm going to hold off on the migration to paging v3 since I have back-ported some of the amazing features that v3 has to offer to minimise down time and potentially reduce the effort required to migrate from paging (v2)

Modules that were rewritten:

• [x] support-data: Now provides a few abstractions that help with the creating of PagedList to expose a flow thanks to FlowPagedListBuilder.
• [x] support-recycler: Now provides contracts, concrete and abstractions around the recyclerview to interact with PagedList including showing load states, this was achieved through rewriting how AbstractRequestHelper handles requests
