It's worth noting that a lot of the bugs I used to notice around screen refreshes don't seem to happen as much, either.
I don't think this code will compile as-is on windows, down to the fact that websocket++ is fairly heavy on the C++11 features. So it goes. There are pared-down modes that can be activated, but they aren't atm.
