In this particular project, the user (audience, player, whatever) is met with a serene, if somewhat haunting soundtrack and a small, hollowed-out fish, lost in the dark corners of the sea. A single object of interest is to be found in the center of the screen - a giant, vulgar facebook-logo! Like the light of some nasty anglerfish, it beckons the attention of the poor fish - our attention. Approach the logo, and a steady stream of 'likes' leak out, all while ominous, barely-visible statements appear in the darkness.
I think this project is very effective in evoking a certain range of emotions. The implied metaphor between hunger and desire for attention, loneliness and social media, is interesting. Somber themes not withstanding, there is also something playful about approaching the button or guiding (or goading) the fish around the screen. There's some interesting code in there, that I could see myself drawing on for inspiration in the future.
