What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Got message that attempt to auto update Chrome was unsuccessful.
Elected to manually update; Clicked "Download" that proceeded normally; Chrome
info on Task Bar; Clicked it; Info Box to main screen; Clicked Run; Install OK
till it stopped and showed message "Google Chrome cannot be updated due to
inconsistent Google Update Group Policy Settings.---------- Use Group Policy
Editor to set update policy override for Google Chrome Binaries application and
try again: See http://goo.gl/uJ9gV for details".
Couldn't copy this message, why not? Couldn't select the URL to print to
address the Web Page, why not? Clicked HELP and "Help Us Investigate" and got
here to Sawbuck. The sequence of "helping" falls apart in sawbuck. I'm willing
to HELP, but any sequence of order and how to Help falls apart in your Sawbuck
pages. I did Click Issues, got to this space to write you something. Started
writing on #1; tried to "new paragraph" to 2., but 2. disappeared-- why?
Further "Enters" starts a new line, but doesn't get to 3., why?
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to download a Chrome update; you refer to it as "reinstalling Chrome
rather than the objective of updating; why? Do you actually Uninstall then
Install, rather than just insert the update?
What I see is explained above.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using Chrome by Google as a browser. Has worked well mostly. Works better than
IE for me on most Web Sites. But recently has given problems of not letting my
RoboForm program (password manager) go-to and stay-on the Chrome Tool Bar and
operate properly. Why do you make it so difficult to get things on-to and to
stay-on your Tool Bar?
My Operating Program is Windows 7 Home premium.
Please provide any additional information below.
I'd be glad to help you test, log, and report re this auto update problem and
other Chrome problems mentioned above. Tell me what you need and answer the
questions that I raised in this short message.
Where do we go from here?
