Greetings! I have good news and bad news.
The "good" news is that this doesn't just affect AndroidOS. Share links, in fact, don't appear to work correctly in several different browsers across AndroidOS and iOS, so it's not just you! The "bad" news is that I have gotten these links to work correctly with one and only one web browser: Safari on i(Pad)OS, where it actually displays an "open in Chai app" link.
I know people are sharing bots on the official Reddit thing, but I have no idea how people are playing them outside of searches. And even then, not all bots show up on a search, as noted. If there's some fancy trick to getting share links to work, I haven't figured it out yet.
Hopefully both the search and share links will be fixed in the future. Like the issue with share links was even before the recent overhaul update.

=User information=
OS (iOS / Android): Android
Chai App Version: 0.4.131
Login Type: Google

Bot ID / Share Link: Any share link
UserID: p3TGFOHsIZVIiE5Z6jJhy1Ldv4P2

Frequency of occurrence: Every time I try to find a bot via a link or search for it (mostly for nsfw, even with show nsfw on).
Expected behavior: The link should either directly open the app when on mobile, or at least the chat button should open the app directly. Searching for NSFW bots that are not ones own should work too as the app is listed as 18+ on google play store.
Actual behavior: Neither work. Search comes up with random bots unrelated to the search, link opens the play store and from there if you have it installed and click open there it won't take you to the bot
