"Good" news! It's not just you! This bug affects any bots created or modified after September 2023, Private or Public. However, bots created before September 2023 remain fully functional so long as they aren't updated.

Why specifically September '23? Well, Chai Research Corporation radically changed how bots are created around this time, allowing users to add more information and further details. A later update – I'm guessing around December 2023? – did something to the optional Chat Direction functionality, essentially making it non-functional for new and modified bots.

Hopefully, someone will eventually look into this.

I see some users are affected by this bug, I can also see other users who are not having this bug publishing their bots with their customisation in chat direction. I created a new account to check and it still did the same thing. For how long we have to stay like this? It's been more than two months since I started to face this. Is there an ETA for this bug to get fixed?

A little more communication on some official front here at the repository would definitely be fantastic, but unfortunately, I'm also just a user and, like everyone else, I'm also very much stuck in the dark.
