(Not sure if this is applicable to this situation, but whatever.)
Details of Issue
Frequency of occurrence: Always
Expected behavior:
The app should use a reasonable amount of battery when the device is unplugged.
Actual behavior:
The app is using (what I consider) a unreasonable amount of battery when the device is unplugged.
Additional Information
I did a little testing with my iPad 7th Generation. From what I can tell, Chai running by itself under normal settings is using about 5% of my battery life within 20 minutes. Doing the math, that means that I can interact with bots for roughly 400 minutes (~6.6 hours) a day, give or take, without recharging. This may not seem that bad, but consider the following: I get about eight hours out of my YouTube app while it's broadcasting to my SmartTV.
Not an urgency. It just seems odd that a text-based app would have worse battery performance than one actively display and transmitting video and audio.
I'm gonna… go ahead and close this issue. The battery usage for the app seems to have been significantly reduced since I posted this. I'm not sure what changed or when, but I definitely appreciate it!
