Greetings! I have with some recommendations for your problem. These may seem silly, but please, humor me. Sometimes, it's the silly things that end up working!
Try logging out and logging back in. You'd be surprised how often it happens, but on occasion, there's a small miscommunication between the user's app and the database. Logging out of the app and logging back in sometimes fixes this.
Are you logged into the correct account? If you use multiple accounts, then subscribing with one will not give you unlimited messages and no ads on all of them. Please, check that the e-mail address you used to subscribe is the same as the one that you're currently logged in with and, if that isn't the case, log in with the correct e-mail address.
Try tapping the "Restore Purchases" text on the Subscription screen. Sometimes, the app might "forget" that a user is subscribed. This can happen due to an update, a reinstallation, or anything else that might change the local cached data. Upon logging in, or by clicking the "Subscribe" button on the User Account page, you should be greeted with, well, a subscription page. In the lower-left corner is a two-word link which reads "Restore Purchases". Pressing this should immediately signal the server to send you your proper subscription stats if it hasn't run out.
