In a Chai Community Update from March 18, 2024, the following was stated:
Sadly, this does not seem to be the case as, like stated above, any attempts to edit any bot results in the Chat Direction still getting absolutely wrecked.
If this isn't "bot builder chat direction bug" they're talking about, then I am both annoyed (clearly) and very disappointed. Chatting was never the issue and someone clearly misunderstood the issue. As I have stated before, I'd like to point out and clarify that if you completely redo the Chat Direction and save, then yes, the Chat Direction does stick and your conversations with the bot will work more or less as expected. But, as I keep hammering in on… as soon as a user even opens a bot up for editing, the Chat Direction gets ruined. It doesn't even matter if absolutely no edits were made to the bot. That Chat Direction is past tense.
This is a very frustrating bug that needs to be fixed and, very clearly, still isn't.
