Maybe the recent Fifo changes?

Instrumented version seemed to work fine apart from when special keys were pressed when running Z-code.

PLT events in the region of 0x9n where exercising the ANSI terminal emulation when echoes in unexpected ways. Now filtered out and the lockup seems to have gone.
