Unable to access gateway after changing password from GUI #1111

So I successfully gained root and flashed the GUI on my TG789vac v2. Logged in as admin/admin and proceeded to change the admin password via the GUI. I was then logged out and had to re-enter the credentials unsuccessfully. Attempted the new password, the old (admin), the one indicated on the modem, no password, with no luck.

I attempted the following via root ssh as suggested in another issue in an attempt to reset the password back to admin, however with no luck:

Any ideas?

service nginx restart after resetting the password via CLI.

I have the same problem and service nginx restart doesn't solve it. I've also tried rebooting the system.
