exFat support?? #1143

Hello, my AGTEF router can't apparently mount an exFat 2TB Toshiba usb drive. Is there a workaround, pkg, or reason why it doesn't work? Apparently is correctly detected in cards information as EXTERNAL_USB but through ssh no sign of live on /tmp/run/mountd/sda1 as usual. Maybe SW version 1.0.3 is too old for exfat??

Device Model/Firmware: AGTEF DGA4130 GUI Version: [9.6.65-89342d7b] TIM SW: 1.0.3 - Aqua 16.3

Please go to Cards >> GUI Settings >> Debug Report and press the Generate button. Attach the debug file here:

maybe yes, if you don't have specific requirements that need you to use this old firmware try at least an 2.2.0

I just updated through the GUI info card without selecting 'only root after update' and it rebooted on plain TIM 1.0.3 but with root and ssh enabled. Is there something I missed? File used https://repository.ilpuntotecnico.com/files/Ansuel/AGTEF/AGTEF_2.2.0_001_CLOSED.rbi

Update to the last GUI dev version before update, maybe you falled in some sort of bug from 9.6.65 already solved in dev versions

Do not use firmware beta versions (_00x)

Update worked with 2.2.0_CLOSED after GUI update, don't know which of the two solved the problem. Anyway the exFAT partition in external HDD does not mount either way, so I believe it's an issue of every version. The ext4 partition works like a charm, of course. Tried on another rooted tg789vac and it doesn't mount.

if it is working on a 789vac (that have an older homeware version...) is pretty strange that it does not get mounted on the DGA..

try to compare a logread when attacching the disk to both, you can also go to a most recent version of the firmware like 2.2.1 (new kernel..) or the latest 2.3.4

No, I said it doesn't mount on a 789vac either.. Apparently both partitions are correctly detected but when I try to cd to "USB-A1" it says 'cant mount USB-A1'

Anyways, now with the 2.2.0 update on the DGA I have to open explorer as administrator on windows or it won't open HDD in samba share. On older AGTEF firmware and also on the 789vac you can just enter with //router-ip-address/ and it shows every samba share, so I can imagine they made more strict samba rules on 2.2.0. Is that possible? Also, is there a way to fix?
