Start streaming Turn off screen Listen for a few seconds ...Sudden silence

Expected behaviour

Continue playback until podcast completed

Current behaviour

I let the screen go dark by itself, and then the podcast stops after ~45 seconds after that.

If I tap the "world" (visit website) icon, and then press "play" on that page, the podcast plays without stopping.

Hi @pjfayer Thanks for chipping in. This sounds like a battery optimisation issue. Please have a look here: https://antennapod.org/documentation/bugs-first-aid/playback-stops

What you're doing, effectively, is playing the episode on the website via your browser. Browsers usually already are exempted from battery optimisation on Android.

I'll close this now, but let us know if that wasn't it, and we can reopen.

Ah. When I switched to the Beta, it did not inherit the battery exemption. Thank you.
