There should be a /tmp/cnchi.log and a /tmp/cnchi-alpm.log
Anyway, I’ll test it here in a few hours (I’m heading for work atm)
There was a cnchi-alpm.log - I believe it was too long to paste into paste2.org, and it wasn't mentioned in the template. If I can replicate it, I'll post it.
Still too long to paste, but at the end of that, I found this error:
2018-06-05 16:11:18 [DEBUG] pac.py(556) cb_log(): checking sha256sum for /install/var/cache/pacman/pkg/aurman-2.9.28-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
2018-06-05 16:11:18 [DEBUG] pac.py(556) cb_log(): returning error 34 from check_validity : invalid or corrupted package
it wasn't mentioned in the template
Thats a good point <,9 would be good to instruct at the template for cnchi errors!
Greetings,
I wanted to just add a 'me to' to this thread. I attempted to install Antergos with Openbox twice, and it failed at 100% with the error number of "none". I did a live stream when it happened, and you can see the video here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/274874285 which shows the failure.. Its short, about 6 minutes long.

This fails with practically anything minus Gnome, as far as I've been able to tell. I've tried installing with KDE and Openbox, and both give me similar error outputs to what hyperum pasted. However, when I try with Gnome, it doesn't seem to have these issues (at least, I haven't experienced it with Gnome install yet). 😕
Like a year ago I installed antergos .with Xfce; the installation process was very smooth and presented no issues at all. Currently, I've just changed laptop, and so today I've tried installing antergos not with Openbox, but with Cinnamon, and I got the same error. I'll probably try with other DE (?) #
I tried again a couple days ago and it worked (with KDE as my DE choice). I presume whatever package was causing the error has been fixed? Note: I used the same ISO image as before.
It failed for meas well tonight (gnome on ahci) Log tail says
returning error 34 from check_validity : invalid or corrupted package
An invalid checksum for a package shouldn't force me to restart the installation.
Problem:
Can't install necessary packages and Cnchi cannot continue. Reference error number: "None" (sic?)
Steps To Reproduce:
Log Files
Additional Notes:
There was no /tmp/postinstall.log
EDIT: SATA AHCI.
