Hmm, this is indeed confusing. It's technically correct (the best kind of correct!) because the badge itself is only $50 and the rest of the money is from the kick-in which is listed separately. But that distinction would probably confuse people preregistering, so it probably makes sense to enumerate the costs differently when someone pre-selects a Supporter registration.
Yeah, the wording on this could definitely use improvement. We could even make it so that it says "Sponsor" and "Super Sponsor" at the top depending on your kick-in level, just to make it extra clear.
For a bit of background, ubersystem defines optional donations as "kick-in levels." In the case of AnthroCon, Sponsor and Super Sponsor badges would both be kick-in levels. The cool thing about that is that everything is already set up so anyone and everyone can add a Sponsor/Super Sponsor package to their badge - even guests of honor can "upgrade" their badge and pay for it through the system. Since kick-in levels are added on top of base badge types, their badge would then be a "Guest/Sponsor" badge.
This has been resolved by removing the "badge choice" page from the workflow.
On "Choose A Badge" page, select any badge type, then click Continue. Pre-Reg form always lists $50 Attendee at top of form whether user selected Attendee, Sponsor ($110), or Super Sponsor ($210) on prior page.
