HI,

Sorry for sounding like a noob but a game im trying to play requires the star key after hitting shift and 8 to move up. It weirdly wont accept the star key on its own off the number pad, it will only work with shift and 8 pressed together. I cant get this to asign in antimicro then I notcied there is no way to use any of the keys after pressing shift. Am I missing something? How can I map a key after shift being pressed?

Thank you

Did you figure this out? Because I can't press a ctrl key combination to assign easily either. I had to use advanced to do it. But that's really inconvenient.

Ditto. Trying to use AntiMicro to play a BBC Micro game where I need and ? as up and down and on my UK keyboard means Shift+8 and ? is Shift+/.

Can we put the code directly into the .amgp mapping file?

I just figured out how to do it! Click the button to assign, when the assignment screen opens click [Advanced] in the bottom left, under Assignments, in the drop down select "Text Entry", type the key you want in the little text box. Press [Insert], [Close], [Close] Done! :-)

:-( .. my solution works in notepad, but it doesn't work in BeebEm, so I guess this method doesn't work how I thought..

You're on the right track but that's not the way. Use advanced, then under assignments, click the unpopulated key box, that turns it to "..." meaning it's waiting for input, press the key. image

AntiMicro is no longer maintained. There were no bigger fixes since 2017.
There is a new recommended version of this app called AntiMicroX.

As a part of cleanup, this issue will be closed and repository will be archived.
If you find this issue relevant also for that new version of application you can create a new issue (or discussion) there (but firstly check it, because many issues of the old app are fixed and there are some new functionalities implemented)
If you will decide to create a new issue for AntiMicroX remember to mention this issue for reference.
