Do you remove driver and BIOS in both files? I never do...
Please don't question everything I do. If we have different counts it's not a big deal, I don't think anyone cares. I repeat: I don't have time to answer dozens of your posts in a day! A few questions or clarifications are more than welcome, but let me breathe...
I'm sorry but if you create a github account, then you can expect these kind of questions... If you don't want any collaboration why you create github account? That's the goal of github.
I don't see the reason you have this repository since you refuse collaboration and also corrections of errors. It's what they call "bury your head in the sand".

If it's correct, I won't ;-)
All correct, but not dozens of questions in one day (and on various topics). I have a real life.
As I already told you: any suggestions or corrections are welcome, but try not to limit yourself with the number of posts.

You are however free to answer this when you want. It doesn't mean you need to answer it immediately! I have a real life too: i create CORRECT files in no time... I will analyse all your other files too.

In the meantime, I'll answer this question: yes, I don't calculate them (like devices).

For this issue here, it doesn't matter. The problem is inside your queries...
Regarding "Prototype, ini" in your file there are two devices: ax208p and bbc_tube_16032. Here is the difference with mine. As I wrote in the comment lines of the file:
;; List of 'Prototype' machines included in MAME ;;
I specified that it is only about the machines.
Yes! Updated the issue. We have the same result for prototypes (if you ignore devices).
Corrected the query identifying "bootleg" machines. It incorrectly searched exclusively in the "manufacturer" field, leaving out the "description" field.
Hello
Attached my [GAME INFORMATION] Unofficial.ini which contains bootleg/no bootleg and prototype/no prototype
I found a mismatch in counts with your bootleg file. I"m interested to discuss who is right and what queries we use.
bootleg
I check if a game's name has "bootleg" or if a publisher has "bootleg"
bootlegs.ini: 1770 [GAME INFORMATION] Unofficial.ini: filter Bootleg: 1856 You have too little games.
