These notes were made by pairing with 'Tester A' who is relatively unfamiliar
with using Android devices. The tester is sighted and previously know of this
project.
The project team will apply and use this feedback,

Rename the app from Ebook Reader to DaisyReader
2 TTS engine prompt Says "Library" outside the choice - Quirk seems to get 2
attempts.

2 tiny things on the screen, no buttons or actions
() Recent Books
() Scan books - option to scan various books, don't know what this means.
looking the first screen, Toggles each time he time he touches it. Collapse
Scan books vs. better term.

Nothing happens when he presses option 1) Russian.zip

Really is nothing else to press.

Need to understand how to interact with it. (and follow common Android UI
practices)

Pretend to be deaf when using this app. It should work as a plain application.

Long-press on Scan Books does nothing.

"Mode Choose" spoken.

Not selecting the TTS engine causes problems.

Layout of Mode Choose content is not left aligned.

Text of the 2 modes are unclear as comparisons.

Hoping for some UI to tell him to poke or stop poking. While the book is being
played.

Needs to show better what the text represents currently with a single line of
text shown it appears to be the title, it's highlighted. How far does 'Back'
button go? a chapter, a sentence?

[No audio dialog] He assumes the audio is missing for the section of text
that's being shown. What happens right at the end of the book? At the end of
the book shown.
What is the cause of the error message. russian.zip book. dialog box 'at end
of book' blocks other user interaction.

Visual Mode announced when the app is returned to foreground. Back returns to
the 'Mode Choose' spoken. He now understands more of why there are the 2 modes,
Simple and Visual.

Long press is useful sometimes. Nothing to press in Simple Mode. Just says
Previous Sentence when he swipes from Right to Left which he visualises as
previous page to the left side, current on screen, and next page on the right
side. He never knows how long to do a long press, there is no feedback. Long
press in Simple Mode shows the table of contents - much more fun. He would
expect a + and - to appear beside chapters that have subsections. He's waiting
for the UI to display these indicators. When he selected

No TOC indicator of the current section that's being read.

English voice speaks the Russian chapter title's text - confusing.

Pick German as the locale, now 'Simple Mode' displays a 'Wrong Format' dialog
message on launch.

Table Of Contents in Visual mode non obvious to launch.
