"chevron" and placing crosses

Can you provide an example blazon that demonstrates the problem?
Gules, a chevron argent, three crosses pattee or

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Three crosses patée or, outside the chevron two and one. I see "charged with 
three crosses" instead.

What version of drawshield are you using?
2.2a3

What browser and version where you using to view the shield? Does the
problem also occur on other browsers?
Firefox, yes
