Can you provide an example blazon that demonstrates the problem?
checky sable and cendree five fountains
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
no fountains appear and error messages show up. This suggests the fountain has
no proper. But when declared with "proper" added, fountains appear alright.
Something is expected which doesn't need to be there.
What version of drawshield are you using?
What browser and version where you using to view the shield? Does the
problem also occur on other browsers?
