Delete backup directory #31

I believe we no longer need the backup directory from this stage forward since it does not contain any usable or important legacy information. @AntonisZks and @EvitaChasioti you could verify this and proceed to deletion.

I agree that we have done a good progress by now and we do not need any of the files inside that directory. I am going to take care of this.
