Screen Issue #25

Open markieme opened 2 years ago

markieme commented 2 years ago

Is there any suggested method for screen setup. I seem to have the hijack issue even with jwl running.

Running 4 creens 2 at desk and 2 large screens DUPES at front of hall

Thx in advance

What exactly are the symptoms?

markieme commented 2 years ago

We have essentially a 3 screen set up

PC, 2nd Screen at Desk then 2xVideo Screens at front of hall

JW Library is set up as 2 screen and outputs video to front

However if we setup zoom on screen 1 we get a freeze or hijack on the video screens. We then need to click into JWL and switch the show on 2nd screen off then back on to get the video back at front of hall.

Thanks for your attention

I’m sure your very busy at the moment.

Jehovah’s blessing.

@markieme Sorry, we don't really know enough about your configuration to make informed comment; it would only be guesses. Perhaps start from basics without JwlMediaWin running. Zoom and JWL should both be in dual-monitor mode, with the main control windows (e.g. the "JW Library" and the "Zoom Meeting" windows) on your PC monitor and the secondary windows showing full-screen on your 2nd monitor. At this point, you should be able to switch between the Zoom and JWL media windows on your 2nd monitor using the Windows taskbar icons. Does that work ok?

@markieme We had what seems a similar issue with similar setup (two screens at back; (1) primary for AV control (2) one running onlyT for speaker) and (3) a screen at front duplicated on two TVs

After Zoom sharing screen 3 (which has Zoom second meeting window and JW media window on it) the main zoom meeting window with controls would move from screen 1 to screen 2 obscured behind OnlyT.

This is just the strange behaviour of Zoom itself and unrelated to anything else.

We made a little system tray app like JWlMediaWin that keeps both Zoom meeting windows on whatever screens the user chooses so we can keep using same setup. Works but acid test 5/4/22. If it describes issue what you're having let me know and I'll upload program for you to try.
