[Bug] Custom checkboxes doesn't work #186

Custom checkboxes doesn't work

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install theme
  2. Try to type - [>] text
  3. Switch to reading view
  4. See error

Expected behavior I want to see custom checkboxes that i can see in README.md.
