Get rid of the Sheriff cooldown #88

Abilities have cooldowns to prevent people from using them too often and throwing off game balance. This isn’t really a risk with the Sheriff. As long as the Sheriff gets it right, they’re fine. And the moment they get it wrong, they die. So it’s inherently self-limiting.

There are only three ways to set the sheriff kill cooldown: less than impostors, same as impostors, or more. I tend to believe less than impostors is best: it lets them win a shootout against impostors instead of being a tie or never getting to do their thing.

The Medic and the Engineer don’t really have cooldowns to their ability. I think we should just set the Sheriff to a 5 second kill cooldown (to prevent any weird cases clicking it twice or something) and be done with it.

Sometimes an imposter finds out who the sheriff is and can hunt them. Completely removing the cool down makes an exposed sheriff too strong IMO.

An exposed sheriff is a nervy sheriff, off the lights and let them shoot wrong...

Also, impostor can just wait til they get their cooldown down.

I would say the sheriff needs a cooldown, otherwise sheriff can go on a rampage with no chance of being killed.

I think its better if the sheriff would have 10s kill cooldown, so there is time after the kill for someone to report rather than no cooldown.

Also.. I've said it before kill cooldowns for all roles should be tied to the impostor cooldown... they should have a minimum of 10s, so if impostor cooldown is 30...

Sheriff cooldown -25 would still be 10s -5 would be 25.

That way you don't need to change so many kill cooldowns every time you change the impostor one.
