Restructure repo and add explanations

Some grown structures might not make too much sense, therefore the following changes should be applied

• [ ] Check for inconsistencies and remove unnecessary code and files
• [ ] Include more input files (possibly merge and rename)
• [ ] Add excel-file for increased accessibility
• [ ] Revise doc strings
• [ ] Adapt readme
