Errors and Validation Handling Concept Explorations #1

As a user of the Apicurio Designer, I want to be able to see all the validation errors for an API and understand what they relate to in the API, so that I can be informed, in order to resolve the error quickly.

Requirements

  1. Work with Eric to establish high level functional requirements for the feature
  2. Create 2-3, final, concepts to meet agreed upon functional requirements

Validation Conditions

  1. Review final concepts
  2. Decide on which concepts fulfill the requirements in the most usable way.

Decisions from concepts:

  1. To display icons for severity and messages on hover, for inline issues.
  2. To use a simple version of the notification drawer to house the issues for the API.
  3. Directly clicking on an issue in the notification drawer will navigate the user directly to the issue.
  4. To look into using the blue dots as high level indicators of issues.
