A data item that is the output of some infection case count.
Definition references 'infection case count', which will be deleted from the ontology, per #105. Furthermore, the term is used erroneously here since counts do not have outputs (but counting processes do!).
My proposal:
A data item that is part of some count of disease cases and is a specified output of some population infection survey.
We should probably discuss whether a population infection survey is equivalent to the process of case detection, which consists of two sub-processes: active case detection (i.e., screening a population for an infection) and passive case detection (i.e., recording people who seek out care from a healthcare organization on their own and who meet the criteria within a case definition).
