Will this Adapter still work after upgrading FW to ONECTA #164

Hello,

as Daikin is stopping to support the "old" Daikin App and moving all devices to the cloud, will a device (BRP069B41) still work?

The ONECTA app will upgrade the firmware from 1.2.54 to 1.14.78 and I'm afraid it will disable the local API ...

Thanks a lot

Thats a good question ... I saw reports that the old Wifi Adapters are still reachable after that upgrade, so then the adapter still works ... If not there is the daiki-cloud Adapter which is getting the data from the Daikin Cloud/Onecta App ...

Try and report :-)

No ;-)

I'm not a fan of "cloud" and for testing it is to expensive especially if I'm not sure I can got back to the old FW ;-)

Maybe someone else can check ;-)

Hmmm ...

According to https://community.home-assistant.io/t/daikin-brp069b41-new-firmware-1-2-54-still-compatible-with-ha/259710/8 it should work but still not brave enough ;-)

In fact this is also the only information source I had for that info. I do not have such devices anymore, so I calso can not test that right now ... So in fact check and ask the community. Sorry that II can not answer it more detailed.

OK ... short update ... Today I updated my Daikin Stylish and they are still working with ioBroker ... It seems that only the App is changing from direct connection (requiring a stupid udp forwarding in my firewall) to a connection via the Daikin cloud ... stupid as well ...

OK nevertheless, local REST API and so the adapter are still working. And also the old Daikin app still can control the updated AC ;-)

I only got a failure info while registering the new device to the cloud but I have ignored this and it was successfully registered.
